The main riff for the song was written almost 7 years ago when I used to be in a metal band. The riff was challenging for everyone so the other members dismissed it. I knew the riff held value so I just pocketed it till I could figure out how to finish it. My time in Japan opened my heart to more types of music. I had grown fond of many more genres that formerly were taboo for me. My newfound admiration for almost all styles of music allowed me to explore useful structures and tones for new material. This song for me was about going beyond the boundary. [/size]

The whole thing simulates the shifts my brain goes through, extremes quickly jolting form one place to the next.
