A man walks into a bar, and the bartender says “YAASSS”. The band, comprised of a crew of bartenders, who chose to let loose after a long shifts serving drinks by getting very glittery and playing glamrock.
YAASSS isn’t your average Bowie-inspired band of Gen-Z girls, romanticizing the 1980's without respect for the true grit of classic glam. These guys evoke a fun, fuck-it energy everyone felt as soon as they stood onstage— studded in sequins, spraying beer and bouncing their blow-up-doll into the crowd.
Before their show at Baby’s All Right last week, office met up with the band for an interview that evolved quickly into an eccentric story-telling session.
