The music of The New Flesh reflects the unrest of its members: Jason Donnells, Greg Dembeck, and Rick Weaver (Human Host, The Ruined Frame). Their myriad sound involves psychedelia, hardcore, americana, improvisation, and noise rock. The band works as one unit to deliver deviant and complex rhythms.The New Flesh was formed in the fall of 2002 by Jason, Rick, and Dan Propert, who quit in May 2007 to pursue solo ventures under the name Legless. Since their beginning, they have embarked on over half a dozen US tours and played bills with acts such as Air Conditioning, Cheater Slicks, Pissed Jeans, Prurient, Clockcleaner, Wolf Eyes, VAZ, Nautical Almanac, and Magik Markers.They've released a steady stream of material on independent labels such as Human Conduct (co-operated by Rick Weaver), Hospital Productions, Heart Break Beat, and Cephias Treat.
