Shifts

Shifts = Frans Dewaard. Frans is off course best known as co-founder of Staalplaat but besides running on this shop/label/mailorder he also writes the online Vital Weekly which is a great, and accurate ressource for reviews and overall information about experimental music. Shifts is his solo-outlet which mainly drifts around treated guitars creating a world on his own. His relaxed approach towards his own music reflects his personality. A gentle giant in a kind of balance within passion and reality. If he would be English, people should adress him "Sir"but since he is Dutch we just call him Frans.
