"Noisewaves started in 2008, mainly as an experiment. I
had been making chiptunes since 2006 on nanoloop, but in '08 I got a
hold of FamiTracker and ditched the Game Boy for the 2A03 chip.
I have always loved the NES, and making this sort of music is very
nostalgic for me. Combining the sounds of the NES with a modern
post-rock backdrop is something I wanted to do for a while. I wanted to
combine the sounds of bands like Explosions in the Sky, Henry Gale, Do
Make Say Think, Lymbyc Systym and others with the 2A03, and thus
Noisewaves was born. My good friend Ryan helps me out with live
