Description
A solo performance by Mike Cooper in two parts: Two of Mike's 'Spirit Songs' preceded by a lengthy introduction that starts off as an explanation of the following songs origins before driving across other narrative vistas. Looking back, it seems impossible to separate it from the songs that follow.
The songs themselves are fantastic examples of Mike's superb guitar technique: a deft combination of slide, ringing single notes and electronics - and his unadorned and beautifully direct singing.
This performance was part of the 2009 edition of ROOM40's OpenFrame festival.
