An album of desolate hallucinatory waltzes that takes the strutting sexualized excesses of Twiggy and the K Mesons and lays them gently to rest at the hand of a dysfunctional but kindly android geisha, the lonely sole functioning occupant of an abandoned space station. There is no adequate genre or set of adjectives to describe where this album comes from or what it achieves, and while listening to “Technique” may give you some vague signposts, this is the kaleidoscopic, neon infused sound of Neu Japon.
