Description
From the Italian countryside, Jooklo Duo brings their brand of ecstatic free jazz to WFMU. Inspired by the back catalogs of ESP-Disk' and BYG/Actuel, Virginia Genta (tenor sax) & David Ranzan (drums), here with special guest NYC resident John Blum (piano), play a constantly searching raw and impassioned improvisation that recalls the likes of Arthur Doyle, Don Cherry, and Rashied Ali's duo with Frank Lowe as much as Taj Mahal Travellers.
