Ken Montgomery was an early pioneer of noise/concrete music, working with cassettes in the early 80s. In 1989, he founded the Generator performance art space, the first sound art gallery in New York City. He continues to explore composition, collaborate with other artists, and work in production.
Istvan Kantor, aka Monty Cantsin, is a performance artist from Hungary by way of Canada. His most reknowned artwork is his "Blood Campaign" of the 70s and 80s, often an art/music collaborative performance that would involve splashing his own blood on canvases or walls. Kantor is also the founder of "Neoism," an international movement of performance and media experimentation. His musical endeavours explore the realms of punk, electropop, and industrial music.
